In the very heart of Łódź, in the extremely atmospheric Stara Drukarnia office building at 130 Gdańska Street, a unique artistic event took place — the opening of Jonasz Koperkiewicz's exhibition “Existence”. This industrial space, located just a few steps from Piotrkowska Street, uniquely combines the spirit of the city with the artistic atmosphere, creating a place where culture and business intertwine.
Jonasz Koperkiewicz is a recognized graduate of the Władysław Strzeminski Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 2014, he defended his master's degree in silkscreen printing with honors, and in 2020 he received the title of Doctor of Art. His artistic path is constantly evolving and currently focuses on abstract painting.
For Koperkiewicz, art is a medium that allows us to explore the nature of reality. His works are dominated by intense colors and bold forms that prompt reflection on transience and a deeper sense of existence. The artist himself talks about his work:
Writing about one's own work is quite a difficult task, and that is because it is what it is, for specific reasons. From this world I try with dirty hands to pluck some truth, hidden behind the fluttering veil of past feelings.

On 29 August at 19:00 the interiors of Stara Drukarnia were filled with a unique atmosphere. The industrial space of the building perfectly fit into the atmosphere of Koperkiewicz's abstract works, becoming for them a unique background, which is so important for the exhibition.
